At Astitva Wellness, we believe that menstrual care should nurture both women and the environment. Our journey began with a mission — to end the dependence on plastic sanitary pads that harm women’s health and pollute the planet. By crafting biodegradable and compostable pads using natural fibers, we offer a safer, earth-friendly alternative. Every pad we make supports sustainability and empowerment. Through local women’s employment in packaging, we provide dignified jobs and fair wages — helping build stronger communities, one pack at a time.
Our pads are thoughtfully designed using plant-based (banana cellulose, tapioca starch), skin-friendly materials with anti-bacterial properties and greener technologies that keep both your body and the planet in mind. Each layer is chosen to be as gentle, safe, and sustainable as possible, without compromising on comfort or performance.

Founder, Astitva Eco-ventures LLP
My journey began far from city lights, in the quiet forests of India, where I worked in wildlife conservation and saw nature in its most fragile form. Seeing menstrual plastic waste in these pristine spaces was heartbreaking and deeply personal, and it made me question how something as natural as a period could be so harsh on the planet. I saw how little awareness existed, how almost none pocket friendly, safe and sustainable options women had, and how often we were forced to choose between our health, convenience, and the planet.
In recent years, more and more research has started to link plastic chemical-heavy sanitary pads with potential reproductive health concerns like cancer, yet almost no one is talking about it. There is very little awareness, hardly any open conversation, and almost never a moment where women are gently encouraged to ask, “What am I really putting inside or close to my body every month?”
Again and again, I asked: Why don’t women want to know what goes into their pads? Why is it so rare to see clear information on a regular sanitary pad pack about what percentage of it is plastic? These questions stay with me, because they are not just about products, they are about comfort, safety, dignity and the right to transparency. That realization stayed with me and grew into a responsibility.
That is why this work became my calling. Over the years, through continuous research and collaborations with innovators, researchers, and conscious manufacturers who shared the same vision as me, I have been building a menstrual care product line that keeps both women’s health and the Earth at its heart. Every product is a step towards a fully sustainable menstrual hygiene range that eco-conscious customers can genuinely trust and feel proud to choose.
Our mission is not just about hygiene. It is about trust, responsibility, and respect, for our bodies and for the planet we call home.
Astitva Wellness is more than a brand; it is a growing community of people who can truly rely on us for menstrual care that aligns with their values and who believe that periods should be safe for our bodies and gentle on our planet.
The people behind our mission and movement.
